Alexis Thornton is a Senior Broadcast Journalism student from Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Thornton attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2021 after transferring with her Associates in Arts degree from Valencia College in Orlando, Florida.

Ms. Thornton has always had a passion for writing and getting the real truth out when it comes to stories, the media and what is currently going on in the world today. Ms. Thornton has a great personality and loves to make people smile with her bubbly personality, making her a social butterfly whose energy is so magnetic and electrifying.

When Ms. Thornton earns her degree in Broadcast Journalism from FAMU, she plans on using her degree to inspire and motivate the generations to come and by making a big difference in the Journalism industry. Ms. Thornton plans to pursue a career in the entertainment industry by hosting red carpet for big award ceremonies and events like the BET Awards, MTV Awards, the Grammys, and many more. As well as being a host on big shows like the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunions and being a part of several radio shows/ stations. Ms. Thornton has already gained knowledge and experience in the entertainment journalism industry and radio. With having a degree in journalism, Ms. Thornton knows her degree can open up many doors and many career paths.
